Mike received his Bachelor of Science of Architecture and Environmental Design from the University of Texas at Arlington. He is a Past President of APA and has received advanced training in ADA, UFAS, and Fair Housing at Harvard Graduate School of Design, Office of Executive Education. He has served as a Registered Accessibility Specialist for two decades and has received his certification as an Accessibility Plan Reviewer/Inspector from the International Code Council. He is also a Registered Interior Designer, Texas Board of Architectural Examiners; NCIDQ/National Council for Interior Design Qualification, Interior Designer & Juror Certification; Certified-Aging-in Place Specialist (CAPS), National Association of Home Builders; (IDCEC) InteriorDesign Continuing Education Council continuing education provider; and (IIDA) International Interior Design Association Professional member. Mike has completed the APA/ADA Specialist designation with the Accessibility Professionals Association and the Assembly Areas designation. He also serves as a subject matter expert for the State Board examination and a contributing expert on multiple legal matters. He is a member of Arlington Great Southwest Rotary and active in several community and veterans projects. A frequent speaker for registered continuing education, he has presented to design professionals across the United States since 2002.
